In relation to Paper, the title refers to the protagonist's, Tay Soon, grave. It is significant of gambling, as it tells of how addictive it is. At first, Tay Soon and Yee Lian have a dream house. When they turned to stock marketing, they earned alot of money their hopes of getting their dream house is raised. However, they started losing money but they still continued to gamble. In the end, the family went bankrupt and Tay Soon died. His mother arranged for a paper coffin to keep him, the model exactly as he described the dream house.
I feel that Paul is responsible for his own death. he pressed himself too hard for money. He did not even stop when Bassett and his uncle told him to stop. He kept on rocking to try to get a answer of which horse is winning. In the end while trying to find the winning horse, he rocked himself to death thus I feel that it is his fault.

Lesson 3: Analyzing and composing poems
The Son is in Secondary School by Affran Sa’at
My badge has a Latin motto
Hope for the future
The future is hope
Or something
At times black crows try to interrupt
When we sing the National Anthem
It is difficult to maintain
The whiteness of my shoes
Especially on Wednesdays
I must admit there is something quite special
About the bare thighs of hardworking scouts
The Malay chauffeurs
Who wait for my schoolmates
Sit on the car park kerb
Telling jokes to one another
Seven to the power of five is unreasonable
On Chinese New Year
Mrs Lee dressed up
In a sarong kebaya
And sang Bengawan Solo
The capital of Singapore is Singapore
My best friend did a heroic thing once
Shaded all A’sFor his Chinese Language
Multiple-choice paper
In our annual yearbook
There is a photograph of me
Pushing a wheelchair and smiling
They caught me
At the exact moment
When my eyes were actually closed
This poem tells about how he never understood his school's motto although he was there for 6 years. He also shares his good memories. The author is also trying to say that he did not cherish his primary school days and is feeling rather sad.
The School by Joel Lee:
The forgotten cupboard
Once carried tons of books
The forgotten table
once unblemished
The forgotten alley
once echoing our laughter
oh how much have changed!

Day 1 - Lesson 2: Favourite Poet
Robert Frost. Does this poet's name ring a bell? Well, he is one of the top poets in the world! Frost was a man famous for contradictions, known as a cranky and egocentric personality – he once lit a wastebasket on fire on stage when the poet before him went on too long! I will be covering his background and historical context and will share with you 3 poems.
After researching and reading many of his poems, I felt that his works are extremely intruguing.
He was born in San Francisco on 26 March 1874, but he lived in California till he was 11 and then moved East — he grew up in cities in Massachusetts. Frost had deep US roots: his father was a descendant of a Devonshire Frost who sailed to New Hampshire in 1634. William Frost had been a teacher and then a journalist, was known as a drinker, a gambler and a harsh disciplinarian. He also dabbled in politics, for as long as his health allowed. He died of tuberculosis in 1885, when his son was 11.
In 1894 Frost sold his first poem, “My Butterfly,” to The New York Independent for $15.On the strength of this accomplishment, he asked Elinor Miriam White, his high school co-valedictorian, to marry him: she refused. She wanted to finish school before they married. Frost was sure that there was another man and made an excusrsion to the Great Dismal Swamp in Virginia. He came back later that year and asked Elinor again; this time she accepted. They married in December 1895.
Frost returned to the US in 1915, and by the 1920s, he was the most celebrated poet in North America, winning four Pulitzer Prizes (still a record). Upon his death in Boston on January 29, 1963, Robert Frost was buried in the Old Bennington Cemetery, in Bennington, Vermont. He said, “I don’t go to church, but I look in the window.”
Now, I'll share with you threee of his famed poems.
FIRE AND ICE
by: Robert Frost (1874-1963)
Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I’ve tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To know that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice.
HOUSE FEAR
by: Robert Frost (1874-1963)
Always--I tell you this they learned--
Always at night when they returned
To the lonely house from far away
To lamps unlighted and fire gone gray,
They learned to rattle the lock and key
To give whatever might chance to be
Warning and time to be off in flight:
And preferring the out- to the in-door night,
They learned to leave the house-door wide
Until they had lit the lamp inside.
THE IMPULSE
by: Robert Frost (1874-1963)
It was too lonely for her there,
And too wild,
And since there were but two of them,
And no child,
And work was little in the house,
She was free,
And followed where he furrowed field,
Or felled tree.
She rested on a log and tossed
The fresh chips,
With a song only to herself
On her lips.
And once she went to break a bough
Of black alder.
She strayed so far she scarcely heard
When he called her--
And didn't answer--didn't speak--
Or return.
She stood, and then she ran and hid
In the fern.
He never found her, though he looked
Everywhere,
And he asked at her mother's house
Was she there.
Sudden and swift and light as that
The ties gave,
And he learned of finalities
Besides the grave.

Day 1 - Emergency IT Lesson 1: Figurative Language
Fast rode the knight by stephan crane
Fast rode the knight
With spurs, hot and reeking,
Ever waving an eager sword,
"To save my lady!"
Fast rode the knight,
And leaped from saddle to war.
Men of steel flickered and gleamed
Like riot of silver lights,
And the gold of the knight's good banner
Still waved on a castle wall.
. . . . .
A horse,
Blowing, staggering, bloody thing,
Forgotten at foot of castle wall.
A horse
Dead at foot of castle wall.
Figurative Language
personification- eager sword(line 3)
simile- like a riot of silver lights(line 8)
hyperbole- blowing, staggering, bloody thing(line 12)
I love this poem! It reflects the passion of Arthurian times, when knights were great men who fought for honor, their people, and their kingdom. When Stpehen Crane incorporates phrases such as "hot and reeking," "steel flickered and gleamed," and "riot of silver lights," it's like you can really see the bloody battle going on. I love the fact that the brave knight is doing battle in order to save the lady he loves. Isn't it amazing how poems even as short as this, can paint such a vivid picture in the mind's eye?

Blog Prompt: Is progress necessarily beneficial for society? Comment.
I think that progress is necessary for the benefit of society. I would like to cite evidence from Village by the Sea to support my argument.
Firstly, if Hari did not learn watch-making skills from Mr Panwallah, he would have not survived the development of Thul.
Secondly, most of the villagers in Thul were too stubborn to adapt to the development of the country.
I would also use animals to support my argument. For example, a clownfish adapts to the environment by hiding in the sea anemone while the clown fish protects the sea anemone from its predators.
Please comment.

Blog Prompt: Which part of Village by the Sea do you like best? State your reasons.
My favourite part of Village By The Sea was the part in which Hari left Bombay. I find this part interesting because this is the turning point in Hari's life. After suffering from the torment of his father, he finally succumbed and escaped to Bombay. You could also say that it was the climax of the story.
It was at Bombay when Hari met his benefactors, namely, Jagu and Mr Panwallah. Jagu provides Hari with a job, a place to stay, food and even tried to help Hari on some occasions. Without the help of Jagu, Hari would not have been able to survive in the mean streets of Bombay.
Mr Panwallah taught Hari many things, like how to adapt to the changes Thul is undergoing. Also, he taught Hari how to mend watches, which was very important in the later of the development of Thul.

Blog Prompt: Who is your favourite/least favourite character Village by the Sea? State your reasons.
I would be talking about my least favourite character of the story. It would be Hari and Lila's father.
Hari and Lila's father is a very irresponsible man. He goes to the toddy shop everyday. Basically, he was the one who started all the problems. He caused the whole family to be disfunct. In the village of Thul, the responsibility of a father was to earn money for the family. However, in Hari and Lila's family, this was not the case.
Because of their father, they had to take up responsibility of a mother and father. He also takes Hari's hard-earned money to buy toddy. This also deprives the chance for the family to improve.
He was partly responsible for Pinto's death. It was Pinto's death that triggered Hari to escape to Bombay.
I really do not blame Hari for that. Hari was under much pressure because of his alcoholic father. After Hari escaped, Lila was left to cope alone.
In conclusion, Hari and Lila's father is the main "villain" of the story.

Blog Prompt: I rather be a city rat than the country rat
There are many pros and cons of either side. I know many of you would choose to be a city rat. However, after weighing the pros and cons, I would like to be a country rat.
A city rat lives in an environment that is very noisy and lively. The city is also the place where you can earn more money and fame. The country has a very tranquil atmostphere. You can live in the country with light hearts and be happy-go-lucky. However, there are many problems you face in the city. (e.g loss of jobs)
In the country, you may be jobless, but carry on living. You can just plant any vegetables you want. It is an agricultural place. The country can actually be quite interesting. I have been to Perth before and it was a amazing experience for me. I was able to milk cows and even pluck apples from trees.
In conclusion, if you seek power, fame and abundance of money, you should be a city rat. If you seek a carefree life, tranquil atmostphere and you love nature, you should be a country rat. I choose the latter.

Blog Prompt: Confessions of a procrastinator
Hello everyone! I have many confessions as a former procrastinator. Being a procrastinator once, I slept early and woke up late. That was how lazy I was.
I was always late for parties, so in the end, I received very few invitations to parties. I always procrastinated when I needed to do homework. I would always leave my homework right to the very last minute. This is why you could always see my dying face a day after the weekend. However, one thing really changed me. It was exams. A rather major one too. PSLE.
One day, my mother asked me to start on my revision for the PSLE. Shaking my head, I said, "Relax, it's just a month away." However, I really regretted having that bad attitude. When I started revision was only a week before the PSLE. You could imagine how anxious I was. Everyday after school, I would rush home to study and studied till the wee hours of the morning.(I don't do this on normal examinations)
I always went to school with a heavy heart and a huge desire to fall into slumber. I was one day caught sleeping in class. The teacher chided me on how lazy I was and repeated that the PSLE was round the corner. My parents had to meet her. I was given a tongue-lashing by my parents. Soon, the dreaded day arrived. That night, I was dunking coffee down my throat. When I arrived in school, you could really see my "panda eyes". I slept earlier on the day before the other papers.
That first day was the only paper that I did not recevied an A*. So, this really shows that sleep is important. But after this difficult lesson, I finally learned not to procrastinate.

Bed Bugs
Hello everyone. You all should see this video about the dangerous bed bugs. And I mean DANGEROUS. Bed bugs are nasty parasites. When your mother tucked you in bed and said, " Don't let the bed bugs bite!" she wasn't joking.
Here are some information about the bed bugs:
Bed bugs can lay between one and five eggs per day with an incubation period of 10 days in warm weather (slightly longer when cool). These newly hatched bed bugs will require five significant blood feedings to reach adult size. They will molt in between feedings by shedding their exoskeleton. One mature they will begin the process of laying new eggs.
You may not realize right away that bed bugs are the source of the annoying sores on your legs when you wake up in the mornings. Bed bugs are attracted by both warmth and the presence of carbon dioxide, which is what we exhale in breathing. The bugs climb up onto your skin and pierce you with two hollow tubes, one of which injects anti-coagulants and anesthetics. The other tube is used to withdraw your blood, feeding for about five minutes before returning to their hiding places.
That's all folks!
Joel.

Poverty
Hello all. Please take a look at this video and comment. This video is about the serious problem of poverty in the Phillipines.
The purpose or the title of this video is resenting towards globalization, means opposing free trades. Africa has been plagued by famine for decades, and it is no coincident that the continent is among the least friendly toward free trade. Hong Kong and Singapore, the most globalized nations have never faced starvation since WW2 albeit without having land to raise their foods. The video contributor uses Filipino flag as he or her avatar. Finally, socialists are ardent opponents of globalization
There are many people in more fortunate circumstances dont realise how lucky they are.
If you are homeless in Australia with no money or assets you are still amongst the top 10% of world population in terms of comfort and health.
Please comment! I'm begging you!

Swearing Baby
Hello blog buddies! The last time I blogged was..a week ago? Sorry for not updating regularly. I was rather busy with some matters. Anyway, today, I will be talking about a swearing baby. It seems weird right? Yes, baby usually don't swear at all. Or maybe they don't even talk properly. Take a look at this video.

Sec1 Camp
Hello everyone! I have not been posting this few days because of the secondary 1 camp. We camped at the Serimbun Scout Camps. It didn't turn out to be as fun as I thought it would be. The camp was not well organised and it was really boring. There was not really much we could do. The only event I enjoyed was maybe the "tiger tails" game. We played with 1A3 and we went around pulling fabric strips out from their pants. Some 1A3 students were cheating. They inserted their strips into their underwear! I tried to pull out one strip from the guy-in-orange but it was so sticky! Who would want to pull it out after he stuck it in his underwear? Its okay, we won overall anyway. I really feel a sense of pride to be in class 1A4 after each win. I would rest my arms over 1A4-ians and we would grin broadly. This game really bonded us together. I feel that this is the most useful game in the camp. It is really fun and interesting. Above all, it allows us to bond quickly with our classmates. Well, many people seem to enjoy the mudslide but I did not in the least enjoy it. After I did the ropes, I slided into the pool. It was really smelly! Luckily, Alvin warned me before hand and i did not get it as bad as Alvin. Thanks! We had a really nice team leader. He really understand us really well. He seems to enjoy our company. Well, we joked around with him. He even laughed at jokes which other trainers will not get it. He is really a good trainer. I'm sure the students of 1A4 1st part of the class will agree with me. Have a nice day everyone!!

A Night At The Night Safari
Hello blog readers(not sure if there are any)! I spent my night yesterday at the Night Safari. I had a great time there. The place is really big, and a trail on average takes about a 15-minute walk. I went there because of an event in the company that my father works in. We sat on a tram and saw many different animals, such as Binturong, lots and lots of deers, the innocent-looking bison(they're really fierce), tigers, elephants(including Chawang, the pride and joy of the zoo), birds, felines and many more. We even went for the night show there. It features a binturong climbing on the rope and doing stunts, a fishing cat jumping really high, the hyenas "laughing", the otter classifying items and putting it into rubbish bins, and many more. The shows was really fascinating. I really enjoyed myself at the Night Safari.

Early Dismissal
Wow, yesterday was really great! There was an early dismissal, thanks to Dr Hon! He let us go early, because he felt that the teachers and students were working hard and said that we deserved early dismissal! I totally agree! I mean, if they don't, how does Hwa Chong get commendable results? Well, sad to say, EP3 was not cancelled. However, I'm okay with it cause I like Gymnastics! Mr Sung quickly stopped the students leaving the Kah Kee hall and announced that EP3 was not cancelled. Then, jeers could be heard. I decided to go to Coronation Plaza with my friends but I decided it was too rush. So, I just did my project work with my project mates. I will be blogging soon.

Angry German Kid
Hello everyone. Today at IS lesson, many people were watching a video on youtube--Angry German Kid. That video contains explicit swearing and "violent" content. That video shows a boy, having to load his game, makes a big fuss. After dying(possibly) in the Unreal Tournament game, he screams and slams his keyboard repeatedly. However, please do not be alarmed. This is just an act. The german kid has endured countless teasing, beatings, etc from his peers. The main point of his acting is to show what computer games can do to you. Have a nice day!

Every Cloud Has A Silver Lining
Hello everyone! Now, look at the title of this post. Now, why this random post? This is to tell you that..we should not be worried about the financial crisis that is currently happening now. This phrase "every cloud has a silver lining" means that you should never feel hopeless because difficult times always lead to better days. Difficult times are like dark clouds that pass overhead and block the sun. When we look more closely at the edges of every cloud we can see the sun shining there like a silver lining. Now, I think Obama can save us. He's been giving out many subsidys in America worth hundreds of billions. We have to believe we can do it. Singapore is a small country, but we must have a strong spirit and bounce back after the economical crisis. Then, it will be a very rich country. PM Lee and the ministers are trying their best to overcome this.
By the way, I'm feeling much better today.
By the way, I'm feeling much better today.

Bad Hair Day
I'm really in a bad mood today, so I'll just post about the bad things that happened. It rained. Slightly. I forgot to bring back my school uniform. I was scolded by almost every teacher. I was glared at by a friend today, although its not really my fault. I had to emo for a while, then I cheered up. Hopefully, tomorrow will be fine.

Green-Hatted Opinion
As a green-hatted person, I have to answer this question: What new ideas/comments can you add on to today's seminar? I have many many things to talk about, but I'll just shorten the information and blog only about those people who caught my attention.
Liang Rui: feels that Mrs Maloney is the real lamb. His reasoning is good but has to support more as Mrs Maloney as the real lamb is very arguable.
Alvin: feels that the real lamb is the baby. Mrs Maloney is making a sacrifice as the baby lost the father. Mrs Maloney does not seem to care about the baby because she drinks whisky.
Matthias: feels that the real lamb is EVERYONE. Mr Maloney was literally killed, not indirectly. Mrs Maloney was abandoned by Mr Maloney. The baby suffered alcoholic drinks and the death of its father.
Ke Xuen: thinks that the real lamb are the policemen. They were foolish and ate the sole evidence that Mrs Maloney is the murderer.
Personally, I agree with Alvin's opinion. To wrap up, I'm going to conclude on the socratic seminar. The seminar on Friday was great and well-covered up. Almost all of the points have been covered up. Everyone spoke clearly and audible. Many people think the same way, others don't. I guess this is the reason for the socratic seminar, don't you think?

Lamb To The Slaughter
Hello readers! I personally think that the real "lamb" in the story that gets "slaughtered" is the baby inside Mrs Maloney. The baby is innocent. It is pure and has never done anything wrong. However, it has been suffering because of the alcoholic drinks that its mother is drinking. Mrs Maloney does not seem to care about her child. She has also killed her husband. She has made the baby father-less. She has also a chance to go to jail because of her crime of murder. This may make the baby an orphan. Many people may argue that it is almost impossible to find out that Mrs Maloney murdered her husband. But now, with the technology so high-tech, why not?

A typical day
I'm going to start with a random message: I love Fridays! Well, the day started out like a peaceful one. We started with reading programme with News In Class. Then nothing interesting happened until after recess. I spent my recess eating with Yan Peng and Cleon. When I went back to class, something happened. I can't really remember the details of today's lesson so I won't blog about it. Actually, for my blog entries, I only blog things that are NOT typical. For example, Ms Gordon taught us the sordiano(not sure how to spell it)method. It is something like a debate, and a dialogue. I'm going to be in the outer circle tomorrow. During IS lesson, Jun Yang was very angry with Mr Yong. He thinks that Mr Yong is ignoring him but I don't think so. Mr Yong is very kind. After waiting long for Mr Yong's help, Jun Yang got it. Unfortunately, he was very late for class and got scolded by Ms Gordon. Jun Yang was very sad. Anyways, I ate lunch with him and Kuok Kam.I wanted to go for gymnastics today, but there were no sec1s there. So I just headed for home. So..I got a Maths re-test with many other people tomorrow, hope that I pass it. Have a nice day everybody.

25 Feb
I just want to ask is there anyone reading my blog? There's no tag or comment. I feel that my blog is neglected. Sigh, never mind. I'll continue to update it regularly. Today was a perfect day. We started out with PE at the weight lifting room. The PE teacher was explaining to us about the equipments and the safety while Sze Chuan was "wowing" at his rippling muscles. We proceeded with anything available. When the PE teacher was using the equipment that trains the groin area, many people were thinking dirty thoughts and the PE teachers was like," I know what you all are thinking". Caleb was said, "Sick! Don't be sick!" (he said that with singlish). Not suprisingly, Jun Yang laughed the loudest. Then we headed for our break and just ate. I shall not blog about lessons as they are abit hard to talk about. During lunch, some people played a game of truth and dare. Bryan was the victim. Guess what he had to do for the dare? HAHA. It makes me LOL thinking about it. Anyway, I'm struggling with Art. But I love it because of the kind teacher and the air-conditioned room. Shall blog tomorrow, bye!

Science Test, 24 Feb
Today, we had a science test by Mrs Teo. As I studied for it, I find it manageble. I feel quite bad during the test. Kuok Kam wanted to borrow a correction tape from me so he raised his hand to ask for permission. After that, the invigilator(not mrs teo) walked to Kuok Kam. Then, she borrowed a correction tape to Kuok Kam. Unfortunately, Mrs Teo saw that and she disallowed Kuok Kam to borrow from me and told him to cancel off his mistakes. Actually, I don't mind at all. I have extra. There's alot of arguing about the lab apparatus symbol, the one that curves. Some people think that it is crucible, some people think its watch glass, and some people think its evaporating dish. I wrote evaporating dish. Well, not much point talking about it as the test is over. There is going to be a chinese test on Thursday, 27 Feb. I don't know whether I can score. Chinese has always not been my forte. It is always my weakness. It's rather late now, I'm off to dreamland..bye!

Adeline Ng Ai Choo
I know I've been inactive these few days so I will blog frequently to make up. Today, I'll be blogging on the story "Adeline Ng Ai Choo" in Little Ironies~Stories Of Singapore. I know its a little late, but I shall get on with it. I feel what Adeline did was not right at all. Why did she have to commit suicide over an exam? Life is not a bed of roses. She should have just studied hard enough for the exam and pass it. I feel what the teachers did was right. You cannot blame them for giving what the students deserve right? It is by right their decision, not the student's. If Adeline have family problems, she could approach the school councellor and maybe he/she can help her. Teachers should not be lenient with the students especially for exams as they will feel complacent and will do them harm in the future.
New Skin
Dear people, I changed my skin because I feel that it was very messy. This classic skin is so much neater. It is more appropriate as a blog for class. Don't you agree with me.
Hancuffed Singaporean flees from custody in Malaysia
Just to summarise the newspaper article, the Malaysian police have launched a manhunt for a Singaporean man facing a capital charge for drug trafficking who escaped after a court appearance last week. The policemen were excorting Jay Chia Shao Kiat, 32, with two other detainees back to the lock-up near the Shah Alam High Court in a police vehicle at about 12.30 pm last Friday. Charged under the Dangerous Drug Act, Chia faces the death sentence. This article is a character-driven story as the character makes the story interesting and people will be interested to know what happened. I feel that the Malaysian police should not only have two policemen in the vehicle, but at least 3. This could increase the security. I feel that this case is similar to Mas Selamat's escape, just more minor. I hope that the police and the public will quickly find the drug trafficker to keep him from causing harm.

The Issue Of Integrity
It seems that many people are scamming nowadays. It had clearly shown that millions of people have submitted petitions.(Which was most likely wrong) Most likely, computer experts have duplicated their support form. As such, address and phone number in the support form must be filled. This will ensure that the number of supporters are true. It is kind of the people to support NKF like this, but they should have integrity. Integrity is one of the most important values in life. Therefore, we should always have integrity and be honest.
If I Were A Member Of SPCA
Speech: Dear members of SPCA, today I would like to talk to you all about whaling in Japan. Whales are very kind mammals.(They're not fish) They are very gentle too. You can even swim with trained whales and ride on their backs. But what has humans done to repay them? Whip them? Jeer at them? We're from SPCA, and we're supposed to save lives. Unfortunately, many whales are killed every year for their meat and skin. The outcome will be unthinkable if whales are extinct. Plankton will fill the oceans, shrimps will be multiplying, and much much more. We should raise the awareness of people around the world. It may not be effective but try your best!
Thank you for your kind attention.
Thank you for your kind attention.
Fishing Of Tuna
The tuna population is almost going to be endangered. Fish farms have tried to breed the particularly popular blue finned-tuna. The blue-finned tuna is commonly ate as sashimi. It complements well with wasabi. I hope that fish farms will be successful and will be able to breed many tunas. Hopefully, I can still enjoy sashimi at the age of 70.
Computer Games
I think that game programmers are getting more and more intelligent. They are making games more addictive with remarkable graphics and interesting game content. Some computer games contain much violence, and may not be suitable for children. As such, more computer programmers are "inserting" political issues and wise choices in the game content. This will allow gamers to not only enjoy their game, but also make realistic decisions. I feel that this ongoing project is a great idea, and the programmers should keep it up.

From The Perspective Of Lila
Dear Diary, today was a cool and crisp morning but a sweltering afternoon. I went out to the beach so early in the morning that no one was there. I carried a small basket filled with flowers I had plcuked from the gardenaround our house. There was a low tide then and I settled down and scattered the flowers to the sacred rock to pray for my family. It was later in the morning before more women came and offered flowers to the sacred rock. Sometimes, I feel that praying at the sacred rock was the best time of the day for her as it was the only perfect and peaceful one. After praying, it was time to start work. When I reached home,I saw Bela and Kamal brushing their teeth with twigs they had broken off the neem tree. I told them to get dressed or they will be late for school. They merely shrugged and said I was the one who was late. Sigh, I wish they would understand. I was supposed to make a fire before going to the beach. However, when I woke up in the morning, I felt that I had to flee to the beach as i could not face the dead ashes or the dirty cooking pots of the night before going to pray. If I had started work first, I might not cope and just faint. Hari came home soon after and provided milk for us to drink. He was very caring and always made sure that Mother and Father would always have enought to drink. I hate my father very much. He would always come home drunk and make Mother's room fill with drunkenness. Mother is still ill, I hope that she would recover soon. I was told by Mother to sweep, go to the market and cook. I then got up to start work.

My First Post And "PAPER"
Hello 1A4 and other bloggers! Welcome to my blog. Please advise me as I am new to blogging. If you have any comments or queries, feel free to tag on my Cbox! I love shooping and reading.I like fantasy books. My favourite book is "The Chronicles Of Narnia" written by C.S. Lewis. I'm not very good in art, but I'll try my best. Now, I'll be blogging about the literature book, "Little Ironies~Stories Of Singapore" by Catherine Lee. I will be blogging on the short story, "Paper". It is about a family dreaming about their dream house. They have not been earning much, so they invested in stocks. At first, they earned a lot of money and their dream was about to be fulfilled. Unfortunately, they had put such a big stake on a stock that when it fell, most of their money was gone. The moral of the story is: Luck is always not on your side. Also, it is fine to take risks, but not such a big gamble. In the end, one of the protagonists passed away and his mother hired someone to make a paper house for his funeral, exactly the way he described his dream house. The paper house was then placed on his grave, burning brilliantly, and in 3 minutes was a heap of ashes on the grave. The author, Catherine Lee, has written this story remarkably and I enjoyed it tremendously. If you have any comments, please leave me a tag. Thank you!!
