Hancuffed Singaporean flees from custody in Malaysia

Just to summarise the newspaper article, the Malaysian police have launched a manhunt for a Singaporean man facing a capital charge for drug trafficking who escaped after a court appearance last week. The policemen were excorting Jay Chia Shao Kiat, 32, with two other detainees back to the lock-up near the Shah Alam High Court in a police vehicle at about 12.30 pm last Friday. Charged under the Dangerous Drug Act, Chia faces the death sentence. This article is a character-driven story as the character makes the story interesting and people will be interested to know what happened. I feel that the Malaysian police should not only have two policemen in the vehicle, but at least 3. This could increase the security. I feel that this case is similar to Mas Selamat's escape, just more minor. I hope that the police and the public will quickly find the drug trafficker to keep him from causing harm.
